Born into a Malhamdale family of painters and following a degree in Fine Art at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Katharine returned to the Yorkshire Dales in 1990. She was a student at Bradford School of Art during the Second World War and started her career as an occupational therapist. Collage Art Mixed Media.

Jerry Hardman-Jones Born in Aberford Philippa was the third of Constance and Sidneys four children. Being of this landscape and continuing to live in it her paintings and drawings explore the atmosphere of these wild and sometimes remote places. Katherine Holmes is the third generation of painters to live and work from the family house near Malham Cove.
